We've been coming here for years! It had been awhile so we decided to go for lunch on Sunday. Let's be clear. This is a no frills place. The food is good and the music is great!

The Music: Check the schedule for who's playing on the day you plan to go. We listened to great Blues while we ate our Sunday lunch!! So cool to hear Blues music while enjoying a Sunday afternoon.

The Food: We had Cajun Fries(large is enough to share w/3 people), Fried Shrimp Po Boy, Gumbo, Jambalaya, and Vegetarian Muffaletta. All Delicious!! All made they way you'd expect for Cajun and New Orleans cuisine. Prices are moderate. We left full and enjoyed our lunch.

The music is free except for special events(check schedule) and the food goes along with the music. Nice and spicy! A little bit of New Orleans in San Jose!

Pros: Great music! The food we ordered (Jambalaya and Crawfish pasta) was delicious. The outdoor heaters were greatly appreciated!

Cons; Small parking lot. Had to park down the street in a very low lite neighborhood.
Tall bar tables are great for tall people, not so much for average height people.
Our chins rested on the table.
Small dance floor with dancers shaking their booty right in your face, if you are
sitting at one of the tables by the stage.
Since it is located in a residential area, there is a noise ordnance. The band
stopped playing around 10-10:30pm, just when the crowd was warming up.

Otherwise, it was a fun time. We will definitely return.

Went for late lunch and wasn't impressed. Nothing terrible but nothing stood out. Average veg burger, average wings and poorly done Jambalaya.

Good selection of micro beers.

I'm sure the bar is good with the bands and such and other patrons spoke of the great music.

Would return for the music.

Great New Orleans style. Food, drinks and music makes your day. Bring cash as you will need it if you want some drinks outside.
Food is family style so get ready for big plates. Sausage bread is really good.

We were recommended to have lunch here because it was near the train station and said to be favored by some station staff. Boy, did we wish we'd gone further into town. The Po' Boy sandwich with pork was dry and tasteless. Ditto the one with turkey, which had processed meat, not the real thing. To be fair, the Cajun fries were good, and the musicians warming up for a later performance were engaging. But we would never, ever go back here to eat.
