Review of Una Mas

Una Mas
Ranked #1,094 of 2,367 Restaurants in San Jose
Price range: US$ 0 - US$ 9
Description: We opened our first Una Mas Mexican Grill in 1991 in San Jose, California and we've been growing ever since! We now have over 20 locations. Our goal will always be to serve unique Mexican favorites using only the freshest, healthiest ingredients in all of our authentic dishes. We serve unique Mexican favorites using only fresh, healthy ingredients. Una Mas Mexican Grill is a fusion of traditional Mexican dishes with an authentic and modern flair. From our popular Foghead Burrito (char-grilled chicken, with Tequila BBQ sauce, guacamole, rice, black beans, cheese, sour cream, roasted pasilla & corn salsa all wrapped in a warm chile-tomato tortilla) to our Margarita Salad everything we make has a distinctive flair that makes Una Mas a great place to eat! Not only is the food unique and fresh, but so is the atmosphere created by our restaurants. The updated decor is steeped in authentic Mexican roots, yet with a modern and bright flair. The tone an Una Mas restaurant sets in the decor is as important as the unique food that is hand-crafted every day. With open kitchens, open floor plans, colorful touches and earthy undertones, Una Mas provides a bright, hip and energetic ambiance that welcomes our guests.

Nice restaurant near the mall. Tried the Mucha Carne & Pineapple Chicken bowls. Great for Gluten free.

The menu has lots of choices, and you can either dine in or carry out. The restaurant is clean for the most part, and the staff is usually very friendly and helpful.

This fast food joint is in a shopping center near the Oakridge Mall. If you are in the area and want fast food, do yourself a favor and choose one of the several other fast food restaurants in the same center or go across the street to In-N-Out Burger.

I ordered a steak burrito. I was told it came "with chips on the side". There were indeed chips -- which were the only thing edible on the plate. The burrito consisted of a largely of a stale flour tortilla filled with rice. I had to sift through the rice in search of the tiny scraps of "steak". The burrito was too large to pick up and the tortilla too tough to cut with the flimsy plastic knife provided. This problem was somewhat offset by the fact that the food was tasteless and cold -- which made NOT eating it the preferred option. Oh! I almost forgot -- the fountain soft drink was OK.

I usually come here for their fish burrito. The restaurant is clean, well run, not a lot of people. The burrito has tilapia, cabbage, seasoning, rice, etc. It is very consistent. Pretty generous portion and good taste.

I like this place because I can get something light and satisfying without indulging in a huge and unwanted meal.

Food is tasty without being overly salted or spicy. You can adjust flavor with many fresh condiments
