We love to go to arrowhead village and enjoy the view of San Bernardino city. The sunsets are spectacular seen from the mountains

We were expecting lots of snow going up into the mountains but guess it’s been a dry year ! Mountains are beautiful - most national venues were closed this time of the year but still beautiful !

Hike to Forest Falls was absolutely amazing. There is plenty of parking but always come early to get a good spot. Restrooms are available in the picnic area. Creek crossing and rock hopping and scrambling here is great with kids. Being able to see the different small and medium waterfalls was awesome. We enjoyed breathing the fresh air and had fun going underneath the small waterfalls. It is absolutely a kid's natural playground here. Its a simple and easy hike to get to the large waterfalls at the end , and good for family outing. Highly recommended.

The crazy winding road was fun to drive with great views. It's a short distance from town with a few small towns along the way. The lakes are pretty and hiking opportunities abound

We took the Scenic Highway 38 out of Big Bear Lake. Lovely views of the mountains. Lots of hiking opportunities. There were some restrooms along the way. Whether you have a couple of hours or all day to explore, you can make it work.
