My husband and I were in Napa for a month and decided to try all the local restaurants in the area! We have been dying to try Press based on their rave reviews and extensive wine list. We arrived at 6:50pm for our 7:00pm dinner. We were seated in a lovely table and the restaurant is just beautiful! We started with the Bacon tasting which was amazing! We ordered a 1990 & 2008 Stony Hill Gewurztraminer! Super fun to taste the wines side by side! We ordered a few appetizers and decided to split the Scallop entree. As we sat and enjoyed the Gewurztraminer we realized it had been over 90 minutes since we ordered the Scallop entree to share! Before we said anything, the manager came over to apologize that our entree order got lost behind a big party in the banquet room and they would comp the meal.. That was super nice of them! We then ordered a beautiful bottle of red to pair nicely with the scallops! We finally left Press at 10:35pm. The food was Delicious, the atmosphere is stunning, the wine list is phenomenal and we can't wait to return!

Booked a reservation for the only time slot available, 9:30. Went at about 9 pm on a Monday and arrived to an empty bar so we went for that spot instead of waiting. The food was amazing, expensive but I don’t mind to pay for exquisite food. Oysters were delicious! I had the Halibut (yes at a steak house) it was one of the best prepared pieces of fish I have had in a long time. That’s when you really know a restaurant is good. They don’t hang their hat on just steak! My husband had the filet and for sides we had creamed spinach and lobster mac. It was all fantastic! The only reason for not giving a perfect score was that the bartender although he provided great service from an efficiency perspective lacked the personality and courtesy that you might get from an over the top experience. I found that to be about 50/50 in this area. You either get great service or they act like your presence at their restaurant is an annoyance.

Had a great dinner with steaks and seafood here. Bacon tower was outstanding.
Everything was good, service was adequate, food great, wine even better.
It is pricey but for a once in awhile trip to Napa you can't go wrong here.

We had a reservation at Press that they couldnt locate- they put us in a corner and treated us like second rate guests! Really disappointed as the rest of Napa has been first rate! Snobbery is so unfashionable! Poor form!
Will not recommend!

The outdoor patio was the perfect place for a birthday celebration. We brought our own bottle ($40 corkage) to help keep the bill down. They have a great wine list but pricey. We started with the Petite Seafood Tower (dozen oysters, 6 clams, 6 shrimp, half a lobster, 22 mussels and more. Plenty large for 4 seafood lovers. It was a big hit. The Cote de Boeuf was also exceptional. The sauteed mushroom side was a favorite along with the onion rings. A good time in St Helena!
