Bing is in my steady rotation of golf courses. It offers a good value round of golf. Nothing fancy here. A solid, old school layout with tree lined fairways. Not terribly long (6500 yards from the blue tees) and the greens are pretty straightforward. The trees are present but a hook or a slice off the tee won't usually put you in jail. Recovery shots are usually available. The course is typically well maintained by municipal standards. Greens are suitably smooth, but tend to roll a little slow. Pace of play is quite good (figure 4 hour round during the week and 4:30 on the weekend). There is a driving range for warm-up. The course is right next to Executive Airport (only general aviation, no commercial service) so you will have the occasional private plane fly overhead.

There is also an executive 9 hole course available for kids and beginners.

The course is in terrible conditions. Fairways haven't been mowed-muddy spots-bare spots and no roll. Need to marshal the course and pull players who are slowing the pace down. Had to wait on every hole. Made for a ugly round. Only thing good about it was it was a beautiful day - weather wise

Very nice 18 hole golf course in Sacramento. Built in 1952 it has an old school feel with many trees and a vintage looking club house and restaurant. Many good holes, except #12 ( the big tree in the middle of the fairway needs to be removed). The greens and fairways are usually in nice condition. Very reasonable prices, only $22 to walk, with a play card!! Love the restaurant, the chef is very good, food is terrific and the people are very friendly. Even if you are a low handicap, come play the blue tees, you'll have a good time!

Old city owned course. Mature (big) trees. Not a good course for slicers. Good greens. Fairways patchy. Great sand in bunkers. Terrible restaurant. Use Golfnow.

My husband played Bing Maloney's executive nine very early yesterday. He came home raving about the terrific condition of the course: Mowed, green and ready for action. He was surprised to see the course now has a Greeter near hole #1 to help get you started and share information about the course and any promotions or specials the course has. Good job, Bing Maloney! Happy husband = happy wife!
