We were gifted a visit for our anniversary. Wonderful gift. Not entirely perfect but excellent and memorable. Our waiter (sommelier) was talented at listening to our wine and food preferences and helping us choose from the vast wine selection. We were happy with the results. We both had the halibut entree. Delicious, but a bit too cooked and was firmer than ideal. My scallops & shrimp appetizer was also a bit too firm, however very tasty. Her vegetable tortellini was perfect. Ceaser salad very good. Passion fruit cheesecake with mango I loved. Wife thought is was good/ok.
I planned on ordering the Chef’s tasting menu but it was not available due to an error in the kitchen. Again, things weren’t perfect in back
In all, we were very pleased. Beautiful old world California decor, perfect service, vast wine list, good but not always perfect kitchen. Yes, we want to go back.
Plan on $100 per person minimum with modest wine choices and 3 courses.
