I think the Firehouse is the best restaurant in the area and is a great place to take a date or your wife for a special occasion.
Great food and great service will make this an outstanding choice.
Close to the Interstate 80 and 5 and easy to get to.

This place is right in the middle of Old Sacramento and somewhere we have passed a few times in the past but never stayed - usually preferring somewhere on the river. Our mistake. What a wonderful place. Old world ambience inside and a delightful shaded and sheltered patio outside. We were there for lunch and had no problem getting a table. Service was excellent and not rushed except at the end when they were getting close to the end of lunch serving. I had the chef's Prix Fixe menu which was three courses - app (salad), main (pasta) and dessert (rice pud). All courses were excellent despite my nomenclature. Spouse had Fish Tostadas which were also excellent. To drink, spouse had Prosecco and I had an IPA (Something Wicked - and wicked it was - excellent IPA). All in was $64 including tip.
Highly recommend. We will be back.

This place surprised me, very good. It is such a nice place in the middle of Old Town. We had our company Christmas party there (smallish group). Very good food and yummy desserts.

On a recent trip from Australia we found this place by mistake and it caught our eye because of the location (in an old fire house) and the number of people eating there.

The food was fantastic and wait staff great. We all had different burgers and found them to be fresh and of great quality. The atmosphere was great and the prices quite reasonable for the quality of food.

Well worth a stop if passing by
