This is a great place to walk, run or take your bike. You will see all ages walking here. The terrain is flat and marked so you can see how far you walk. They do allow dogs and you will see a lot of them. We have been walking there for a number of years with our Lab and have never had a problem with any other dogs. Good place to watch the ducks and bird life.

Went there to do some gold panning, found lots of fools gold but no gold. but loved the hike in and the rock climbing and caves were amazing too. We also saw a beaver hunting for fish. The only thing was disheartening was there were lots of broken glass from beer bottles, and some trash.

Rustling Raging water yet not like before they took down the dam. Singing Birds, Flying bugs, & Serenity. Rustling of the BRIGHT green trees and the Smell of Fresh mountain air yet just minutes (literally minutes) from Downtown Redding. (Be on the L@@K Out- There is a Nude beach somewhere along the creekside but I think it's in a secluded area.) Further down the road (many miles) there (was) a place to Ride Horses (horse trail parking lot was right after the bridge [on left] and swimming holes on both sides of the Road.) There is SO MUCH FUN that can be had on Clear Creek. Have fun

Clear Creek is a series of trails along the creek and the land is public and administered by the BLM. It shows some of the local prospecting locations where they aggressively gathered gold from the creek bottom.
There is still gold left! As one BLM worker told me they (the 49ers) were looking for $100 dollar bills in the creek and they left many $5 bills behind.

This is an active night time illegal drag strip. Used to have a lot of fun out there in my younger days.
