“Gorgeous home from home in charming Petaluma”

We have just returned from staying in this lovely house for the last week of our three week trip to the US with our two teenage kids. The first two weeks were full on in an RV and covering 2000 miles so we were ready for a week of relaxing and being in one place. And what a lovely place. The house itself is pretty, homely and spotlessly clean - it has obviously been really loved over the years. Light and roomy with a lovely vintage feel, well equipped and comfortable. The garden was a really tranquil place to sit and we loved the fruit trees. The pies on our arrival were very welcome and set the tone for the week. Petaluma is a great town and the house is just a ten minute walk to downtown. We loved the Petaluma market and used it daily. We visited the farmers market, mooched in the shops and went to the Petaluma Pie shop and the Applebox for lunches. We found the Visitors Centre (once we had found it) really helpful. Used the house as a base for visiting San Francisco, Armstrong Woods, Russian River, Napa Valley, SausalIto and the coast. All very easy to get to. Loved it - thank you so much Jesse and Patricia for making us so welcome.

“Amazing cottage!”

My family and I stayed here along with my best friend. The cottage was amazing! Clean, bright, inviting, open and absolutely gorgeous. I have to admit I'm a little obsessed with vintage cottages but this exceeded my expectations. Definitely hope to come back soon. Patricia was extremely sweet and easy to work with and the location is very central and easy to get around. The neighborhood is basically my dream neighborhood. Is it time to go back yet?

This is a lovely old house. The house is well appointed and even has a guitar and piano. It is surrounded by fruit trees and is very private. The beds are quite comfortable. Patricia is very welcoming. She greeted us with milk, flowers and pie. We had a wonderful time and greatly recommend staying here.

This is a warm homey house with lots of windows and light. Living room/dining room area is nice and roomy. Has a kitchen, 2 bedrooms a bath and nice private back yard and a great gas grill. Patricia had a couple of small delicious pies waiting for us. I have family in the area and they came over to visit and all commented on what a nice house it was. The grill came in really handy for the hamburgers and hot dogs. Nice pleasant neighborhood and very close to downtown.

“Charming and Well Appointed Retreat Home near Downtown Petaluma”
Reviewed 8 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

We had a lovely stay in this vintage home. I loved the decor and the house was very well kept. Patricia came and met us at the house, showing us around and made my friend and I feel very welcome. She even bought us individual pies and organic milk! Wow, what a welcome!
The property is surrounded by fruit trees and every window looks out onto one or more. The inside was filled with lovely paintings and had a terrific vibe. The beds were super comfy and I had a wonderful nights sleep each night.
Additionally the house is located only a short walk from the historic downtown, where you will find, good food, live music, a plethora of antique shops, a knitting store (really good yarn and educated staff) as well as some other really great shopping.
I would definitely rent this house again and bring my family next time :-)

Liked best: The easy feel of the house and it's location. Also the decor was quite nice as well.
Liked least: The smaller bedroom would have been better with a queen size bed instead of twin trundle.
