Driving from our in-laws home on a Tuesday morning, we looked for a late morning breakfast place in SLO and then in Templeton, Our favorite national coffee chain stores were long-lined, noisy and crowded. We know there are plenty of nice restaurants everywhere but unfortunately we missed them.
After walking in and out of a couple of places in Paso Robles, our good luck finally kicked in. We stumbled upon Panolivo, a bright and cheerful restaurant with a bright and cheerful staff and great offerings from both their coffee-bar and menu. We enjoyed great coffee and a tasty breakfast in a very pleasant atmosphere. There was a good selection of fresh bakery items and full breakfasts, with even off-menu options such as Croque Monsieur or Madam as the owners and some staff are French Americans.
Panolivo will be our "go to" for breakfast, lunch or dinner on our somewhat frequent trips from the SF Bay area along Highway 101 to and fro Pismo Beach area.
We highly recommend Panolivo.
