The meal was superb. Everything perfectly cooked and seasoned. I am an okra fan. This was the best I have ever had, and among the best vegetable dishes I have enjoyed. Baby okra, sliced lengthwise, sautéed with garlic and spice. An American veggie with Viet style cooking.
I also had the banh mi hamburger. It had creamy Sriracha sauce, vegetables. It was thick like the Romanians do, and had some mild spices, juicy. It came with the most perfectly cooked sweet potato fries I have ever had.
Can be a wait. I was lucky.

Thank Michael J

We went to dinner on a Thursday night -- they open at 5:00 pm, and I recommend that you get there around that time or expect to wait for a table. The host was friendly and we were seated right away. After we ordered, they bring you a cup of rice soup, like a congee, to start you off. We wanted to sample a variety of things and ordered a couple appetizers to start -- pork spring roll & octopus. The spring roll was delicious and the octopus very tender. For dinner we tried the shrimp & green bean stir-fry, crispy beef noodles, and crispy chicken-stuffed rice ball in curry. Everything was wonderful -- it was hard to stop eating. For the quality and quantity of food that they serve, this place is outstanding in our opinion. We will definitely go back; our favorites were the pork spring roll, shrimp & beans, and curry rice ball. It was all good, and we'll try other things next time. The restaurant is small, so go early or expect to wait for a table.

my goodness, you just cant lose with this restuarant. we had a semi business dinner with a new acquaintance who had never been to this restaruant and has to entertain a lot and some friends who had been there just a few times. they cuuldnt believe how busy the place was on a monday no less and before 6pm. the general conclusion was (once again) that the food was divine, our business associate was thrilled and has now put the resaurant on his absolutely go to list. m husband and i have tried verything on the menu and this time they had a new salad which was delicious and beaurtifully presented and plentiful to share and contained great shrimp and believe it or not, pomelo. what a treat. and another new item was baby octopus with some greens that i would have eaten a whole plate of just the greens.. the way they were cooked was just fabulous.. we all shared every dish, left satisfied, once again and of course will return. dont be put off by the fact that they dont take reservations. make this a nght that you dine early and even if you have to wait a while, it is a pleasant wait and the serive is quick and you wont have to wait too long. this is one of our absolutely go to places. if i had to ear out every night, i would probably eat here and never be bored and never be overstuffed and never be sick

I know that by writing this the lines will be even longer, but Rooster and the Pig is by far the best restaurant in Palm Springs. Tai is a master at his craft and we have loved every dish there. They will soon have a full bar and that will even make it better, although we love it as is!

Fusion food, The Uncle Ho cocktail is fantastic. We were there right at 5, easily were seated, but the place was on a waiting list by 520 so arrive early. The rice ball with yellow curry was good, needs a bit more chicken to rice in the ratio but still quite tasty. Different from the typical mediocre palm springs food.
