we booked a 2 bedroom cottage for a couple of nights in late April and had a very relaxing stay. There were 4 of us, and the 2 bedrooms combined with a good-sized living area and kitchen made for a good get-away. We loved the grounds, and lazed around the pool in the midday/early afternoon heat, strolled around Ojai, ate at excellent restaurants, and thoroughly enjoyed the very good breakfast on offer at the Inn. We had a minor issue with housecleaning one day, but it was very satisfactorily resolved by the manager on duty at the time. We highly recommend the Inn to anyone wishing a peaceful time in a lovely setting, with great accommodations and staff.

Room Tip: Check the website to see quite complete views of the rooms/cottages.

Set at the end of a quiet neighborhood street, you will enjoy the tranquility this property offers. The landscaping is lush, the cottages cozy, the staff courteous, and the breakfast on the patio plentiful. Highly recommend for a serene or romantic escape.

We loved this place. It's a few blocks from the main drag and wonderfully peaceful. We stayed in the Lily Pad, a quaint, homey cottage with one big bedroom downstairs and a spiral stair leading to a sleeping loft. The living room had nice soft couches, Arts and Crafts lamps, and a cast-iron stove. The grounds were lovely, masses of roses and other blooms everywhere; a tranquil patio surrounding the pool, and -- nice surprise -- snacks and drinks always available on the outside buffet. Breakfast was an unusually nice spread including irresistible individual quichelettes. Service was a little sketchy. We stayed in our room till late morning with the "Later, please" sign outside on the doorknob; when we returned that evening, we found that the room hadn't been cleaned and when we notified the desk were told that the maids left at 11 AM, and after that, there was no one to do the job. The management should make that policy clear to arriving guests; had we known, we would have cleared out earlier. But the young woman at the desk made up for it and nicely soothed our ruffled feelings. We figure this was merely a glitch that can be easily put right as long as guests know how things are set up. It certainly wouldn't prevent us from returning -- we really enjoyed the place. It's the sort of inn that you don't even want to leave -- just hanging by the pool can fill the whole day most pleasantly. Easy walk to the Arcade, shops, and restaurants, too.

Room Tip: Bigger is better.

Easy. Quiet. TV's need to be this century, but otherwise terrific.
