The hotel is right on the ocean. The views from our room were exceptional. The room itself was like an apartment, a nice apartment. Very comfortable and well appointed rooms. Nice pool, observation deck on the roof, excellent restaurant on premises. Checks every box! If only they would do away with the vacation club nonsense then it would be perfect.

Went to San Diego for the first time with friends. Lots to do in and around the area of SD. Trolly rides, zoo, botanical gardens, great pier to eat, drink and watch surfers. Dinning is great, drinks are plentiful and the view is fab. Go to see the seals!

Thank you to Nick Cafarelli, Director of Marketing for his guidance, knowledge and professionalism in assisting us with our concerns. Nick is definitely an asset to Wyndham and they are fortunate to have him on board. (Our original stay was for Ironman last year). Nick is 5 Stars!

We stayed here in May, and posted a review, then returned in June for yet another stay. however you have to wait 3 months before you can post another review, so this review is for our June stay. Once again we loved every minute of our stay, and can't wait until we return in September. We were in a 1 bed-roomed condo #411 (second time in this unit) and it is perfect, great ocean view. The location here at Oceanside is as good as it gets, free secure parking, no resort fees, excellent security, kept spotless, very friendly staff, excellent management, just check in, unpack and enjoy. Yes they do try to pressure you into the timeshare presentation, but you decide, is it worth 2 or 3 hours of your time or not? This was our 4th stay here, and next month will be our 5th we do not have a bad thing to say about this Wyndham. Close to the freeway, full kitchen with everything you might need, washer/dryer, Cd/dvd player, you are literally at the beach, great pool area, walking distance to grocery stores or restaurants, or movies, You do not need to move the car if you don't want to ( a perfect spot to relax and unwind) We highly recommend this Wyndham, and feel confident you will not be disappointed with your stay here. Reviews often mention the trains!!! it does not bother us at all, however just be aware you are close to the train tracks. Enjoy your time here, and from us to all the staff here THANK YOU see you soon.

We bought our stay through an auction from a time share owner. We were excited to be near the beach and have stayed at beaches before but this was different. First, when my wife checked in she was "pressured" into a time share presentation, we were able to get out of it so I was relieved about that. The room was nice but the area is very noisy. The train passes by very close to the hotel and blows its whistle throughout the night. During the day the area is very busy, you are right near the pier so be aware. Not bad if you like that kind of thing but if you want peace and relaxation you are in the wrong place. On the third night we were there our smoke detector started chirping (low battery) in the middle of the night. Of course, the front desk didn't have a battery so they had to wait until the engineer came into work at 6 AM. I gave the service rating "poor" due to the pressure for a presentation and the smoke detector issue.

On the plus side, I did like the gym, it was well equipped and had a nice view. The resort is close to the beach so you can walk across the street to there and the pier is right out your front door.

Hello!

Thanks so much for sharing your candid comments! I do apologize for the alarm and have shared your "sales pressure" comments with the sales leaders. My favorite time here is September through October, it's a bit quieter in the area (especially during the week) and the weather is still beautiful. We do hope you consider staying with us again, perhaps in the fall!

Safe travels,
Cherie O.
