Usually when we’re on vacation we ask the concierge for recommendations while staying at their hotel. After we get our recommendations we research them by looking at all the reviews. Torc came up the biggest winner and after dining here we know why. It was truly a culinary experience!
We were greeted by the owner when we walked in with open arms and enthusiasm. We were seated immediately and Randy, our waiter came over immediately to introduce himself and take our drink orders. He could not have been more efficient or friendlier. Randy made our experience at Torc amazing! He steered us in the right direction with all our choices.
We started off with the heirloom tomatoes and the hamachi crudo shared amongst the 6 of us. We ordered enough to set our appetites. Both appetizers were out of this world. We also had the sweet potato tots and the pepper sides with our appetizers also. Both were incredible.
The chef was so kind to send over an order of pasta for the table in between our appetizers and main course since the steak we ordered takes 45 minutes to prepare. The pasta was amazing too!
For our main course we all shared the strip and the ribeye steaks. The steaks were out of this world. They were both tender and cooked to perfection. They had a perfect sauce on them with roasted vegetables. The steak actually melted in our mouths. We also shared the red snapper which was outstanding also. It came with calamari and shrimp with white beans in a very light sauce.
We could not have enjoyed a dinner more! Everything was perfect from the atmosphere to the service to the incredible food. We walked out of Torc knowing we had just experienced the number one restaurant in Napa Valley!
