Allegria is in a beautiful, historic bank building in Downtown Napa near many other shops, bars and restaurants. The inside was redone and is very clean (although it looks like it was probably redone more towards the 80s than new millennium...) High ceilings, large windows and comfortable booths make it a nice place to hang out.

Our food was good. It's not blow-your-socks-off Italian (but I can't really remember having that before)-- it's really good pasta, salads, apps and desserts. We had the gnocchi pesto, rigatoni, kids bolognese and a few desserts (bread pudding and an apple/berry tart). Everything was great. The desserts were fantastic, especially loaded with vanilla ice cream...

The service was great for us as well. Everyone was really friendly and fun and everything came quickly and came hot.

Like every place in Napa, they have a great wine selection. The wines by the glass were really reasonable and pretty good. I think everything was about $10 (okay, that's not reasonable if you're from Detroit, but it's not bad when you're from San Francisco!)

We had dinner at Allegria on a Saturday night and it was packed. Make sure you have a reservation or you may wait. Lots of tables turned over quickly so even a crowd moved through there fast. We never felt rushed, though.

We had dinner here and had a terrific experience. The dip they serve with the bread was incredible and I could have just eaten that and been happy! We had the carpaccio, which was good, the Rigatoni was outstanding and the Angel Hair pasta was good. My husband was particularly pleased that they had Sierra Nevada on draft. Ambiance is a bit dated, but has alot of character. Service was very good and pricing reasonable. Reservations needed, they are busy.

My wife and I enjoyed their atmosphere, service and Gnocchi with grilled chicken.
Tip: corkage fee $20 so bring your own bottle of wine email from your day of tastings.

We came with friends for lunch one Saturday in February, and I had the lobster ravioli special, which was superb. Others had salads and sandwiches which they enjoyed. Service was good The place is in an old Bank and you can reserve the table in the vault, which looked like fun. I will definitely come back.
