My wife and I usually rent the “Little Yellow Cottage,” while vacationing in Murphys. But, it was already booked for the 2015 Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Instead, we stayed for the first time in the “Hideaway Cottage” for three nights to celebrate Thanksgiving.
The affordable cottage is more of a one-room studio apartment, which is a 1 ½ mile drive to downtown Murphys. It features a full kitchen, comfortable queen bed, small living room, adequate bathroom and a separate washer/dryer laundry room. It was a nice size for just the two of us.
The room is nicely decorated and very clean. But, there is no closet to hang your clothes (other than a few wall hooks) and bring your own cork-screw wine bottle opener.
Although the Little Yellow Cottage is larger, costlier and a short walk to downtown Murphys, we would stay again in the Hideaway Cottage.
