We arrived at Morro Bay at about 9pm on Saturday night, whole town was booked out and this place had the only room left in town.
Couldn't complain bout the room, but seriously $200 a night, shouldn't be paying 5 star prices for a 2 star hotel. Place is blatantly ripping tourists off. Stayed one night then moved to Breakers at Morro Bay, closer to town, closer to the beach and only $79 per night heaps, heaps better

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Arrived in Morro Bay late evening and it to forever to get checked in. Very uncomfortable as it seemed the entire "family" was there to check us in. One older gentleman did not even have shoes on. We walked into our rooms, turned around and immediately left. Thankfully we were able to find another place.

We stayed somewhere else our first night in Morro Bay but when I made our reservations they were booked for our second night so had to change locations. If you want to experience the beauty of Morro Bay I wouldn't recommend this place. It is outside of town, across the main street from the beach, no real view The rooms were decent, basically clean and rather ornate, parking is available and we found a spot both times we went in and out. It is a no frills kind of place. The continental breakfast is sparse, limited packaged selections and the Mr. Coffee machine looked like it needed a really good washing. We weren't in the room much as we went back into to town for the evening. It is privately owned and we found the owners nice. However, I would not stay here again. We found the noise level average for a motel of this kind, I suppose it depends on when you are there.

WHERE TO START:?
We made reservations, got there on time was asked by "granny" if we had reservations, we said yes gave our name did this 3 times then the "grandson" took over had to repeat our name, he asked what brought us to Morro Bay we said it is our anniversary. We went to our room wanted to shower & get ready for dinner. Turned the shower on cold water, we let it run a little bit still cold, then tried the knob in the other direction water is still cold & get colder! we turned it off then called the desk, they replied they would be here in an hour, my husband said relight the pilot light he hung up I called back said we need hot water now we are NOT waiting an hour to fix this please fix it now or give us a refund and we will leave, they said they would be there in 10 minutes, FUNNY there was hot water when she got to our room (HMM wonder if they light the pilot light) The next morning AGAIN there was no hot water!!!! The soap was like bark, no lather same with the shampoo & the basket they were in was broken and a burned out light in the bathroom and NO hooks to hang the towels on! OH YES there are 2 sides to main street and this side is away from the water!!!! ONE thing the "continental breakfast" is ALL packaged pastries

Room tip: Not Impressed with this place, service

The worst hotel/motel Experience I have ever had! Dirty old broken down rooms tv didn't work no parking loud neighbors at night and morning. The hotel owners did nothing to accommodate us they told us there was nothing they could do about the noise and the cable was being updated and that's why it did not work. Top it all off my girlfriend got a rash on her legs and which we later found out to be bed bug bites! Avoid this place at all costs! It was a last minute decision to stop there and a huge mistake! If at all possible save your money and sleep in your car it will be safer, cleaner, and more comfortable.
