We recently went to the coast, Morro Bay, for dinner. Our usual dining place had changed from family restaurant to sports pub so we looked for a new eatery. We chose 'Off the Hook', overlooking the bay. It was fantastic! We were early for dinner, fiveish. But we had our 16 month old grandson with us and didn't want to be out too late. Service was excellent, from the time we walked the thru the door till we departed. And the food...Superb! My wife, I and our daughter and son- in-law all had different menu items and all were prepared to perfection. Jambalaya, surf and turf, assorted sea food plate and appetizer of coconut shrimp were all excellent. Recommend highly.

Thank Rosemary M

Great friendly service. Had the Crab melt it was delicious. Best fries ever, lightly seasoned. Casual atmosphere. Overlooks the ocean. You can enjoy the seals, boats, seagull's and sunset from this location.

Took lunch there. The patio has a clear plexiglass screen against the wind and umbrellas overhead. Great view of the Rock and of the boats plying the harbor. Service was eager, but rough. Our table hadn't been wiped off - or at least not well, so we did that ourselves with some paper toweling we carry. Food was well plated. we had ordered a quinoa salad, but the waiter brought a spinach one instead; it did possess a generous portion of sprinkled dried cherries and candied walnuts. The garden salad had a hair in it - but otherwise both salads were generous and pretty fresh. The lobster-melt sandwiches at $16 had a dollop of lobster meat in each half-sandwich. The bacon relish on them was interesting, but too sweet for the lobster and jack cheese. The sourdough sandwich bread was well-crisped, but not sour. The fries were fried very crispy, but oozed oil. Took awhile to get the food - would estimate over a half hour for two salads and two sandwhiches, which would be OK if you have the time, but not if you have a destination to follow. Spent about $65 for two for that, tax, a coke, and the tip. Judging from a previous post and our experience with 6-7 other clients bringing a dog, the patio seems to be a destination for dog owners. They were all well behaved, but just so you know.

Took my family there for lunch, and loved it. Friendly staff, amazing food and relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend the pulled pork hamburger! It was so good!

We came for a drink while deciding where to have dinner. The girl at the front desk was friendly but from there it went down hill. The guy cleaning tables looked completely bored and the barman was completely, absolutely disinterested. It seemed like serving us was a chore. To be fair, he treated everyone like this. Needless to say we went elsewhere for dinner.
