Brand new 6-story Marriott concept with many modern design elements. The lobby features an atrium to the second floor giving the interior a lot of natural light. Check-in was easy and they assigned me room 344.
Parking is free and underneath the building. If you stay here, make note of which elevator (north or south) you are parked next to. A few times, I temporarily could not find my car and realized that I parked it next to the other elevator.
The room faces east towards Atlantic Blvd. Despite the amount of traffic, I could only hear it, if I right next to the window. Central air worked efficiently and was very quiet. Walls were fairly thick and I could not hear much from my neighbors.
The bathroom features a walk-in shower with enough space for large individuals. The toilet featured a bidet with plenty of settings. It was the first time trying one out and it was easy to use.
The room has 5 different outlets for USB connectors - this should satisfy even the most ardent road warrior. Directly above each nightstand, they have built-in highly directional reading lights. This allows the light to be directed at a book and not bother your partner.
The bar, 55, was conducting a soft-open. They currently have $5.55 happy hour specials from 4 - 7 p.m. While I didn't try any of them, I did try out some of their premium cocktails. When I was there, they had Casa Amigos, Hendricks, Suntory, and Akashi.
The second floor houses their meeting space, outdoor lap pool, and exercise room. I was pleased that they had about six treadmills, a couple of stationary bikes, weights and body strengthening equipment. Unfortunately, they ran out of sanitizing wipes.
Because the property is new, they are still working out the kinks and trying to hire open slots. In a short time, I'm sure they will have a five-star property.
