We are life long residents of the Bay Area. We decided to take 3 generations of mothers for cocktails for mothers
Day. Big mistake there. Let's see, the bar tender wouldn't take our order and told us to wait for the waitress. Well she never came and after 20 minutes we went to the bar
And placed the order ourselves. Completely unprofessional On all parties parts. A manager came over and did nothing. Went to the front desk to talk to the manager and was told to talk to the bar manager. I'm sorry, at a hotel like the Rosewood this should never happen. You expect superior service.
If you are looking for a special place to go this is NOT it.

We stayed here a couple of weekends ago. The property is quite spacious in a lovely area adjacent to the rolling hills of Stanford. The buildings could easily be mistaken for an area of condos. Pretty densely arranged, and not particulary interesting design wise. The room was spacious and well laid out. Lovely shower and bathroom, great bed and linens. Well cleaned and maintained. But at this price for a room, not a suite, I would expect more in the way of size and detail in the furnishings. Such as a double sink vanity.

There were a couple of disappointments. I was asked if I'd like a newspaper each morning to which I replied yes but never received one. A vacuum cleaner was left outside our entrance the whole 2 night stay we were there. We left the do not disturb light on but the room was still serviced.
They lost our reservation at the Madera, their onsite restaurant, but were able to seat us, on a Saturday evening. Food at the Madera was good, service was ok, wine selection excellant.

If I was paying half of what they charge I probably wouldn't be expecting as much but at this level it really needs to be world class, which it just isn't.

just was there on a business trip. Did not expect much relaxation. But I still enjoyed it a lot. Great pool area , very good service, good concierge research, nice and clean room, great food via room service. Location also great to cycle into the quiet hill roads west.

Visited this hotel on business, staying for 2 nights. The service is excellent. Hotel staff is willing to go the extra mile to get you what you need.

Room service food is great and timely. It's an expensive endeavour to eat all your meals here, but it is delicious food.

Bar is well stocked and well manned. Good service and a great Scotch collection.

It's a huge property and though I did not get out to explore, even the view from the bar balcony is serene.

Beautiful, spacious rooms, complete with total comfort beds and big, well equipped bathrooms.

It would be my pleasure to stay here again!

It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel which is spread over such a large area. The hotel has a chic bar which unfortunately closes a bit post midnight. The rooms are very well laid out and you get your own sense of privacy as the rooms are in isolation. The service overall was excellent and the staff courteous.
