The usual Res. Inn layout - separate buildings with nearby parking. Renovation of some buildings is still going on. The suite I had was renovated to the usual Res. Inn standard. It's squeezed into a fairly small property right next to a car dealership and across from a hot dog stand on busy Sepulveda. Getting in and out of the one driveway can take a while when the stream of traffic is heavy (as it usually is). Three of Manhattan Beach's finest were patting down a guest for questioning as I headed to breakfast in the morning, so the clientele here may be a little "different" than what you usually find at Res. Inns. However, the cops were chatting with him like they were old friends later, so it must not have been a big deal. Breakfast was very crowded (no place to sit except out by the pool). Location is only about 4 miles from LAX Airport, so it's a decent spot if you're flying out or just flew in. You'll likely need to hop in the car, though, to find a place to eat (unless you like hot dogs, but if your life insurance company knew you were trying to cross Sepulveda on foot, your rates would skyrocket!). Good luck.
