After going back and forth on various hotels for a planned Los Angeles trip, I found an exceptional deal through InterContinental's website that gave me several nights in an executive suite + breakfast for a great price. It was very last minute, but I was ultimately very glad I chose the property. My room - Executive Suite 6014 - was HUGE and had just about everything I could want for my trip. A huge, plush bed, a Nespresso machine and amazing tea selection, a surprisingly large bathtub and a BIG shower, plus all the room I needed to spread out and relax. The minibar was locked, but I didn't mind as I didn't plan on partaking to begin with. There were minor maintenance issues with the room - chipped drywall around the T.P. holder, sticky substance on an unseen side of the chair, "meh" toiletries - but it exceeded my expectations. The staff at the property, particularly in Housekeeping, was exceptional. One young man (whose name I unfortunately didn't get) ran around collecting a minifridge, a water kettle, and multitudes of extra Nespresso capsules and tea packets. Texting the front desk for amenities and to schedule cleaning worked better than using the phone, and service was always timely. You can't beat the location, and I always felt safe.
