When I arrived about 7 PM, the bathroom was still not cleaned. When I walked into my non-smoking room, it smelled like cigarette smoke masked with perfume. I later found a wet spot in the carpet next to the bed. Had to dodge that all evening. Of course, I found it once! The suites are next to the elevators, and they sound like carts on tile. The headboard is right next to the shaft, so you hear it all night long. I complained in the morning and the attendant at the desk, when she got around to answering, asked if I was kidding about the wet floor. I questioned this, and she said I had been there two days. Not quite. Like I would lie about that. Location is good for flights, and the lobby seems nice. The elevators are overtaxed in the morning, so you will be waiting. Overall, this isn't worth the money, even though it is cheap.

We had a wacky itinerary that included a ~9 hrs. overnight layover in LA. This hotel had a free shuttle, and when we checked in, we discovered a really nice clean room. It's obviously been renovated fairly recently; and the results are pretty impressive. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast (included) was a welcome surprise. It was delicious and had a great selection, including eggs and waffles! We felt like we'd won some sort of prize for picking this hotel.

Stayed here for 4 nights with friends (took 2 rooms). Rooms are very nice, bright, clean with new modern furniture. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful.

Breakfast does not provide a wide variety of choises, but is also very good. Hotel parking is *not* free, but there is plenty of free parking space just near the hotel building.

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights to see Los Angeles before back home from LAX.
Great hotel for its price: rooms are bright, comfortable and clean, staff is friendly and helpful, breakfasts were great.
Had a couple of issues with elevator, but they were resolved in 2-3 minutes.
Parking is not free, but we used a free parking space at the side of the building.
Gym is very small so you could hardly exercise yourself.
Also had some issues with room keys that were quickly resolved by the staff.

Room tip: The hotel is located near the road, so you may want to take top-floor room or room with windows on opposite side.

Every time I fly through LAX and have an overnight layover, I stay at the La Quinta on Century Blvd. It is a short 10 minute shuttle ride (complimentary hotel shuttle) from LAX with shuttles making the rounds frequently enough to avoid long waits at either end. The hotel itself is clean, well kept, with courteous and helpful staff. A main draw for me are the very reasonable room rates that I've managed to get - for a single person, King size bed - usually less than $100 a night including a small but nice breakfast buffet. Rooms are a nice size and well kept though a little dated. The hotel is not located in an area that is conducive to strolling but then again, I'm there just to eat and sleep. There is a McDonald's right next door and a couple of other fast food places just a couple of blocks away. There is also a gas station with a convenience store nearby. Overall, a comfortable, convenient, and affordable place to stay while flying through LAX.

Room tip: Special rates for AAA members or seniors are especially good.
