The place has the best Indian choke bhature, better than what you can get even in India. The rabri and black gulab jamun is a must have.
I would highly recommend this place, just ignore the cleanliness and the ambience.

I've been to India five times (traveling all around eating in both fancy and cheap restaurants), but I think India Sweet House has better food! This family run inexpensive vegetarian hole-in-the-wall is located away from the tourist areas, but well worth it. Not many tables, bright lights, and you eat on paper plates with plastic cutlery (which I don't mind because it's hygienic). Everything is fresh and homemade, so service can be a little slow when they have lots of customers. The yummy masala dosas are only served on weekends. Lots of choices and when ordering a thali I've been able to substitute. Look for the self-service fridge on the right side of the shop for chutneys, onions, etc. with pitchers of cold water stored below (open the fridge door). Fresh sweets are on display. My favorite desserts are the homemade ras malai and rabri. They close at 9 pm, but you really need to place your order by 8:15 pm. I've eaten here hundreds of times and have never been disappointed. You know it's great Indian restaurant when most of the customers are Indian.

Great Indian food - casual style - order at the counter. Try the stuffed paranthas and ask for extra ginger. The dhal and khadi are really good. Lots of vegetarian selections.

Freshly cooked vegetarian food , served piping hot , which makes it a MUST EAT place for travelers from India . Had the pav bhaji , mooli ke parathe and yellow dal . The food here derives the authentic taste because it s served fresh and hot . The owner is at the counter and makes it a point to satisfy your taste buds . The restaurant started in 1981 has survived the time gap without any improvisation , renovation or marketing. Tasteful and quality Indian vegetarian food in such places deserve word of mouth promotion.

Excellent vegetarian Indian food. The parathas are indeed to die for, with the cool yogurt. The cashier and cooks were so sweet and helpful.
