My cousin and I ventured to Joe's Restaurant during its last week-end in its long time location. The menu was the usual....SPECTACULAR! It is unfortunate that odd..at best, circumstances have caused 'Joe's' and other long time residents of Abbot Kinney to leave and/or relocate. We will remember this venue as one to visit on a quick summer evening, a fall brunch, or a final farewell. Thank you Joe's Restaurant!

We made reservations for dinner here and when we arrived they initially sat us outside in the rear against the back door/gate. It was pretty chilly out there so we asked if something was available inside. The hostess was visibly displeased with our request and sat us inside against the rear door in the back of the dining room. I found this amusing, from the back most part of the exterior to the back most part of the interior.

We sat for awhile without being approached for service until a server finally arrived. We ordered a bottle of wine and a cheese plate. You get to choose the cheeses but they aren't entirely recognizable and therefore it's a bit of a gamble and the server was only familiar with a few. In the end they were good although they could be a tad more generous with the accompaniments.

For dinner we both ordered various pasta dishes and I had the ravioli. Things were tasty but a tad on the sweet side. The ambiance in that back corner was lacking and the food and service was ok but at that price point I would expect more.

what a great meal! We had a mix of appetizers which were all delicious - try the soup! but I can't say enough about the Green Thai Curry. Plenty of options for vegetarian and others! Superb service. very good sized portions and a great night out. Reservations recommended.

I had tuna tartar as an appetizer. With Linguini as a main. and the banana pie as dessert.
The dessert was awesome.

Our waitress was prompt and kept the tea and the bread coming.

IMHO --This is one of the best three course lunches in Los Angeles for the price.

We booked this restaurant on recommendations from good websites but found it all pretty average. Nothing to complain about in particular but it's just average and the prices are higher than average. Food was not particularly well presented or interesting so we left a bit disappointed
