Perfect for deli food. Large tasty portions with no pretence at being anything other than a deli. Good value

We haven't been here for several years. The menu is extensive but the prices are way too high for a diner, famous or not: half a sandwich & soup $15.95, panini & fries $15.95, turkey melt & fries $19.95, etc. Dill pickles are served complimentary instead of bread. Review the menu before going. The food was fair to good. Our server was not very attentive for some reason & left us waiting to order & then again for the check. Would recommend the tasty garlic fries at $8.95 for a very large sharable order.

Now that I think about it, I've probably been to Jerry's as much or more than any other restaurant anywhere. It's not because I think it's the greatest place on the planet but it is consistent and it's a place you can meet with friends, family, business lunch, etc. As you would expect, they have a big menu with lots of options and calories for most tastes. The staff are very professional and attentive. These are professional wait staff, not part time actors.

Whether meeting for fun or business Jerry's is the place. Coming from another part of the country where they don't understand the meaning of deli - this is a delight whenever we come to the west coast - whether it is soup, breakfast items or good old fashioned lox on a bagel - life is always a bit rosier after a visit to Jerry's!

I like to think of myself as a matzo ball soup expert because it's my favorite food of all time. I'll order it anytime it's on the menu. With that being said, Jerry's has the best soup period. The size is still huge, while Brent's cut their bowl size in half, and the broth is perfectly seasoned. The matzo ball....perfection. Trust me. I know these things.
