Aaron was an incredible guide, very kind and knowledgeable. The one day trip is incredible, lots of really interesting elements means the day is thoroughly interesting. The drive there and back is thoroughly comfortable. Joshua Tree really is a marvel, and is a must go-see if you are in LA. Get out, and explore!

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this trip or tour company to a friend.

Thank you, Aaron!

I highly recommend Southwest Adventures. My group went on the Death Valley Adventure in April 2014 I've been camping many times and found Aaron to be a consummate professional. The stopover in Randsberg was very nice and we got to meet the Mayor. The weather was wild while we were in Death Valley and Aaron got up in the wee hours of the morning to secure our tents for rain so that we wouldn't have to get up/out. We wanted to see a lot of things and he packed a ton of activities in to the weekend including special requests to see the Racetrack and Salt Creek. The food was vegetarian but very hearty and delicious. The next time I visit Southern California I intend on booking with SWA next time I'm in Southern California and would highly recommend them to others.

From Aaron being super-fast to respond to our email requests whilst we were in Australia to the final tour, it all scores five stars. Picked up from our hostel, driven out to Joshua Tree and many other sites you would miss if you drove yourself, in a comfortable van. The park was amazing and Aaron was great walking everyone around and guiding us through the park - I would recommend 100% heading out to Joshua Tree if you are in LA and going with Aaron; it makes it such a richer day having someone who knows where to go and knows what they are talking about.

Aaron was a great host - truly enjoyed my day trip to the Joshua Tree - I have lived here for years and had always intended to visit - having seen it on U2 album cover as a kid - and never did until now! Got a great deal through Goldstar - my mum was visiting from Scotland and she'd enjoyed glaciers in Alaska, drive up PCH through Central Coast and I wanted her to experience the desert just to give her the all-round feeling....

We both had so much fun - there were only 5 of us on the trip in a lovely air-conditioned van - with excellent commentary on what we were seeing...

We started by visiting Pioneer Town, an old movie set in the desert, got a lovely pottery soap dish from the wee artisan shop, then was intrigued by an outdoor sculpture place, then lunch in Joshua Tree, near the entrance, dined on pizza at 'Pie for the People' and bought some fresh loose tea - 'Mountain Witch Tea' at the local Farmer's market that Saturday....

There is some gentle hiking - more wandering though the desert, nothing too exertional - wear layers, bring water and a camera....

i plan on going back in Spring next year to see the flowering desert plants and sunset....using Aaron's expertise to guide me!!!

What a fabulous day! Fascinating for those who live in the city and even more astonishing for those visiting from out of town.....they get to see a great place and you don't have to do the driving!!!!
