Trying to keep this simple.
-Bed was comfy. Room was spacious. AC worked well.
-Walking distance to the Convention Center/Staples Center.
-A number of good dining options in walking distance. I'm a fan of Public School, across the street.
-Rooftop bar/pool is cool (though may be closed for private events).
-The elevators are weird and unreliable. They'll randomly deselect floors requiring another key card swipe. They also have a bit of a creepy vibe; like they belong in American Horror Story: Hotel.
-The one chair in the room is plastic and uncomfortable.
-Shower water pressure was bad.
-There's some construction going on outside (and ground floor inside).
Quirks and other stuff to keep in mind:
-So in my room, there's just a clear glass wall between the shower and the bed. If you're not staying alone or with someone you want to see you naked, this would be an issue.
-This pretty clearly used to be an office building.
-Room service food was OK but not great. There are plenty of UberEats options, though.
-You're not far from some bad parts of town and may encounter some interesting people walking around the area. Stay safe.More
