Only down side is there is no elevator, you have to climb at least 10 steep steps.
advice : take the room farther away from front desk,to reduce the noise. Otherwise its quite, you can sleep well. Roommates were good and courteous.

There is no elevator so have to lug luggage upstairs. Also the luggage storage room has no key or anyone looking at it so anyone could take the stuff in the room. The room was good but walls are thin so can hear noises outside. Also the bunk beds are squeaky. Breakfast was very basic. There are smells to the rooms so need to air out a lot more. The location is great and convenient and have place to get hot and cold drinking water!

Thank your for your feedback. Our luggage room is watched over 24 hours by our security camera, as well as our 24 hour front desk. Our rooms and facilities are clean by our housekeeping department daily to ensure all guests can enjoy a clean environment while staying here at the hostel. This hostel is in a great location & easy to find just over the road from Hollywood Highland Station & the TCL Chinese Theatre.
The staff were very friendly & also helpful when i asked for information
I stayed in a 4 bed dorm which was spacey & the bed was decent.
The communal areas & the kitchen were well kept.
Location wise you are close to buses, trains, tourist things & so many good places to eat.
In Los Angeles when hotels can be expensive this is very good budget option!

We stayed here for two nights as a stopover for the remainder of our trip. It was easy enough to get here from airport took flyaway to union station then the train to the station outside the hostel across the road. Right on the boulevard right amongst everything. There's a good few steps to go up to reception and the girls floor but sure gives you some exercise. We were lucky that one of the guests helped us out. the showers and toilets are fine. Rooms are clean. The ceiling fan didn't work but a stand alone fan was placed in our room which didn't really reach the top bunks. When someone had checked out I accidentally forgot to put on my necklace that day and left it on the vacant bed and when I got back that day it had disappeared. The cleaners were the only people that would have been in the room. Reception seemed very uninterested about the situation and when I asked the cleaner she quickly brushed off ever seeing it. The mystery continues ..... I would definitely make use of the lockers for valuables it's just unfortunate I forgot to put it on before leaving that day. I'm gutted it is gone. Breakfast is bagels, jam/cream cheese and one of the mornings we had cut up oranges very basic.
You get what you pay for here but as I said location is good
The guy's at the reception are very uninterested and souned borred when you have Some questions. They give the right information but it doesn't sound They like their job. The hostel is on a great spot in at Hollywood boulevard! The mall and several musea are right next to the hostel. It is verry clean and you have lots of space in the rooms! Would recommend for a short stop in LA for a few nights if you can sleep trough the noice of the street, I do so I had no problem!
Thank you for your honest response. We will have a talk with the front desk and work on improving as you may have caught one or two of them on a bad day. Our staff has received high reviews before in the past so please dont feel this is an everyday occurance. We hope to see you in the near future.
