My first time ever in LA, on holiday with two girlfriends, we chose the hotel Bel-Air really because of reputation, and it was quite expensive so of course we really had it built up in our minds. It certainly was a cool spot and a nice experience, but there is area for improvement; the pool is very small and pretty challenging to get a lounge chair, and this was really our big struggle every day, getting chairs next to each other for all the girls. Also, really thought the food and drinks were very super expensive, even for a hotel like this. Staff is so courteous and so professional, top notch.

Dear clairemontg,

Thank you for reviewing your recent stay at Hotel Bel-Air.

It's wonderful to know that you found the service levels and our team members "top notch," and it sounds as if you were well taken care of throughout your stay. I am disappointed, however, to learn of your experience at the pool, and I will share your feedback with our leadership team in hopes that we can improve upon this situation.

We hope to welcome you back to Hotel Bel-Air again.

Best regards,
Denise Flanders, General Manager

I recently stayed at Hotel Bel Air for 9 days due to an evacuation from my home in Santa Barbara. If you can afford to stay here, you should. The property is phenomenal, the service is impeccable, the food is great and it is very well located while not being in a commercial area. I am very well travelled and Hotel Bel Air measures up to any hotel I have ever stayed at.

The Hotel Bel-Air is near Beverly Hills on Stone Canyon Road. It can be missed so drive slowly so you don't have to turn around.

Everything about the Hotel Bel-Air is perfect. From the rooms, to the bar. Everything is magical. When you enter you are greeted by valet to take care of your car. On the walk to the lobby is the most wonderful little lake with swans, beautiful, happy swans. The entire outside area, which is large, is just beautiful with lots of little places to walk. Every step is pretty. The outside area is also spotless.

Once you go to your room, be it a single room or a suit, you will be in heaven. The beds are so comfortable, the decor is stunning, warm and calming. Some of the rooms have a fireplace. Some have a semi-private outdoor area. No matter the room, they are all great. Once you have decided to actually leave the luxury of the room, you can have a massage or a swim in their pretty pool.

The bar is great. The bartender is outstanding and the selection of brands is outstanding. Whatever you want they have.

Leaving is sad. You don't want to, but unless you are rich, you will need to leave at some point. It is a magical place, with perfect staff, kind swans and rooms you want to hide in.

Enjoy the experience. It is not like other hotels in Los Angeles. It is special.

This review is for the bar my husband and I went last night to see the Christmas lights and have a drink and a bite to eat at the Hotel Bel Air bar. The hotel was beautiful with it's Christmas lights and giant ornaments. We were created by the host, Nathan at the bar and he was so gracious and cordial and found us a nice table by the piano. He also came by several times to see how we were doing which was lovely. Everything was really beautiful the food and drinks were great and the pianist Jeremy was just amazing playing everything from Beethoven to Silent Night. Really a special evening in a beautiful spot highly recommend going up and enjoying a drink you will get into the Christmas spirit.

I'll keep this short. Hotel Bel-Air is romance central Californian luxury style. Seriously. Service was near perfect during our visit. What set the tone was the bridge over the lake to the lobby. We were watching the swans and taking pictures when we saw the lagoon goes a bit of distance under the bridge.

The hotel is romantic to the letter. Stay here for peace and quiet or a real luxury getaway near Rodeo drive. I say this for the ladies as they had a great spa there too.

We loved it. The Sunday brunch, the rooms, the service, the grounds. Five stars.
