Finishing a conference, six of us wanted a great lunch at a local place. For appetizers we had plump mushrooms sautéed in a garlic sauce. Also grilled shrimp, fried green tomatoes, and plump crab cakes. The food was hot and fresh. Crab cakes were meaty with a light breading. For the main course I had grilled halibut with artichoke, mushrooms and a delicious lemon garlic glaze with a side of freshly cooked spinach. Others were impressed with Grannie’s fried chicken sandwich. Our server Roxanna was so good we invited her to have lunch. (She declined). Great grandma atmosphere!
