This is now without a doubt my all-time favorite sushi restaurant. Well worth the drive to Lodi from Stockton all the way down lower Sacramento Road. The place looks brand-new and is very clean inside. Can't believe they have been open for three years. ELBERT is one awesome server. Always smiling, offering suggestions, he knows how to upsell without being pushy about it. And is very genuine about his love of working there. We will be back and we will suggest this great restaurant to our family and friends. Hopefully you'll think of expanding to other locations.

Thank Nala R

Komachi is a relatively new Japanese restaurant located in the Raley's shopping center at Lodi Avenue and Lower Sacramento Road in Lodi, CA. It is open daily except Sunday for lunch and dinner. Decor is attractive, and the use of dark woods and subdued lighting makes for a more inviting ambience than you would normally expect in a storefront setting. Our only complaint is that we found it a little noisy when we went there for lunch on a semi-busy day, probably due to people trying to talk over the too-loud background music.

Komachi offers an extensive menu of popular Japanese specialties, such as sushi, sashimi, tempura, teriyaki, ramen, and sukiyaki, along with a couple of Korean dishes. There is also a long list of Japanese rolls, including many that are created by the chef and unique to this restaurant. You can choose a bento box or order individual entrees, which are served with salad, miso soup, and rice. Appetizers and salads are available for light eaters. Vegetarians will find a number of sushi, tempura, and other selections. Though I wouldn't exactly call this a family restaurant, it does have a children's menu with a limited selection of items suitable for kids. Komachi serves beer, sake, and other wine.

We found the food to be delicious and the presentation excellent. Service was very prompt and friendly. Prices are moderate. Now that we've discovered this place, we plan to return often.

The rolls I have tried are full of flavor and texture but just not the yum for more factor yet.
The service both times I have visited has been excellent. You can not make a reservation Friday or Saturday nights so go early or expect a wait.
I will be go back to find my roll because the selection is quite large.

Our family loves Japanese food. Whenever we dine-out whether we're traveling or just staying around the area, Japanese cuisine is on top of our list. So we can say that we are semi-connoisseurs when it comes to Japanese food. Komachi was introduced to us by someone who used to live in Japan and told us that this is the only Japanese Restaurant in the area she would patronize. When we went there on our first visit, we were very impressed by not only the quality, freshness and taste of the food but also the friendliness and service that the staff provided. The prices were also very reasonable Since then, this place has been our top choice of Japanese Restaurants. Highly recommended!

Have been going to Komachi on a monthly basis for the past 2 years. Very disappointing visit last night. First of all, the music was *blaring.* I asked three times for the volume to be lowered. Never happened. My salmon sashimi (part of a Bento box) was fishy smelling and the portion was, literally, tiny slivers of fish. Not sure I will be returning...definitely "two strikes" for my recent visit.
