I had a doctor's appt. and had to wait quite a long time so was really hungry afterwards. I was going to go to In & Out in Signal Hill but remembered a brand new Applebee's had just opened next store to the In & Out. Now, I had only been to 1 before and that was while on vacation near San Luis Obispo. We were going to the Farmer's Market there and ended up at the Applebee's...it was the worst bowl of soup ever but that was year's ago so I decided to try this brand new one. I decided to order a burger as I didn't want to make it too complicated. My burger came and right off the bat, they had forgotten the grilled onions!!!! The burger itself was on the dry side but I hoped the onions would help it some. The place was really busy and it took quite a while to get the onions so my burger was getting cold. The fries weren't very good either as they weren't very crisp. By the time my onions arrived, I had just about lost my appetite and ended up taking most of it home as I didn't want the food to go to waste. Believe me, when I re-heated the food at home even though I couldn't do anything about the dry burger but heating up onions in a sauce I like to make helped the flavor and adding some spices to the fries and re-heating them in the oven util they were really crisp made the food mores tasty and edible!!! I am not going to try anymore Applebee's as my experiences have been bad enough!!!

I had a great experience. If you can get Yolanda as a waitress she was fabulous. Amazing customer service. If you can try the chickey wanton tacos they werer fantastic. I also had a house margarita that was perfect just strong enough!
