“Beautiful but busy”
Review of Serendipity Beach

Serendipity Beach
Reviewed 16 November 2016 via mobile

Good place to go if you want to party. The beach and main street is lined with bars and restaurants. Beach isn't very clean, but you can still swim and sunbathe. The area still has a lot of beggars and street vendors pushing things in your face so not the most relaxing of places.

you must go on weekend, its pretty busy and there are lotsa ladies selling bbq seafood. Usually a dollar for a couple sticks. And all of them are really delicious. When you walk along the beach you can have nice seafood feast :)

If you walk down Serendipity beach road, turn right and you come to a rocky sea front area with a few boardwalk bars to relax and.listen to the sea.Have a Pedi with Mrs Hong.
Be cautious at the end of the path,I have heard of thefts.
Turn left and you are in development corruption central.Builders just dump their debris on the sand. There are lots of quite good restaurants, but you will have no peace to eat or drink for selling.Small children are often seen at night begging and in potential danger.
Since my visit in February this year I do not visit this area.
Sihanoukville is now constructing very high buildings close to this.beach.
At night it is party time, enjoy the music, but Serendipity can not sleep.

The most famous bach in town is beautiful and a wonderful place to see the sunset! One of the most beautiful in the world, just chill on the golden sand or at one of numerous restaurants and enjoy the view.

First up, Serendipity is where the bus from Phnom Penh will head to, and it has the largest collection of restaurants and guest houses, it is also where the jetty where you catch the boat to the islands is located. So if you want nightlife, convenience etc, Serendipity is where you go. BUT, the night action on the beach is noisy and over the top. A strong of bars and restaurants a km long on the beach light up at night and locals, local tourists and foreigners converge to get high, drink, relax, eat. It is charming in its own way, but the volume of the music is very loud. In the daytime, Serendipity is quiet, some nice places with good food on the main strip and its easy to use it as a base to explore all the other beaches with mopeds for hire at US$5/day. I stayed at Cochi Garden and loved it, but bring ear plugs
