MRA was great. The shuttle was on time and filled with a great group. MRA also followed up to make sure we got down safely.
Driver was cool. Check-in was easy. Will do this again for sure.

The campground is super clean. The hot showers are awesome. The dishwashing station is helpful. Access to the river is perfect. The camp hosts (Dave and Susan) were great. However- we had 15 people, 5 tents and 4 vehicles and booked what we were told (by Gracie Torres) was a group site with shade. We were charged $308 for our 2 night stay. The site was not even as big as a standard site and was barely big enough for 2 tents and no trees at all. The office team was totally unhelpful and it was not until we involved the owner that he allowed us to move to a different site at no additional cost. We moved to site 3 and it was awesome. They charged us $25 extra because we arrived 30 minutes early to check in and refused to refund it when we didn't even get to actually work out the site issue for more than an hour. I caution you to be careful when booking- especially if you are looking for a group site. What they called Cottonwood Beach is a joke- a bad joke. Also- There are no refunds and shade is extremely limited in the entire campground. It was so hot that we had to be away from our site between 10am and 6pm daily. That works if you are planning to hang out in the river but best to bring your own shade. Important Note: The office kept insisting that no one had complained about Cottonwood site before but the camp host told us that the people who had just checked out were very upset about that site and others had complained as well. The reason site 3 was available was because they booked an RV in the space and it is not RV accessible. Those folks left (no refund) and this enabled us to shift to that site (which by the way works great for a group). We will likely try this again but next time we will plan to book site 3 (since we loved it). Huge thank you to the camp owner who resolved our issue. Just do your homework regarding what you are booking and beware of Gracie Torres.. she must get paid on commission a basis.

The campground was very clean. The restroom was clean and has showers, too! The river was a 45 second walk. We had so much fun lounging in the river. Mountain biking the Cannell Trail is an adventure. The shuttle ride up left pretty much on time and got us on the trail by 9:15 AM. We arrived back to MRA hot and sweaty at 3:00 PM. 60% of the trail is SO much fun. 15% of the trail is ZERO fun. 25% of the trail is ok.

This is truly an excellent deal. We spent the whole afternoon speeding through class 2 and class 3 rapids. I chose this tour initially because my wife is afraid of the water and not much of a swimmer, and so I expected a lazy float, but instead I was surprised by the level of challenges and the invigorating beauty of the lower Kern, even in mid July! David, our guide, made sure we had a great time, and the 13 foot dive at the end of the tour was an unforgettable highlight. Great value for the price!

We had a large group that was split between 2 rafts. The group with Page had a nice time, despite being hung up a couple of times-low river flow. The other group was with Emma who was very unprofessional and downright rude. This was their first time river rafting and they did not enjoy it at all. They were yelled at by Emma, told they couldn't get in the water at a nice spot to swim-although she did-. They were sworn at with foul language because they took their hands off the t part of the paddle. They got hung up approximately 15 times and when they offered to help were again yelled at. This guide does not belong with beginners and clearly has some anger issues.

Do not use this company. They rented me very dangerous bikes. Staff have no experience or knowledge. Plus the boss is a nasty greedy little man with no idea how to treat customers. Beware!

We had an awesome day with John and his son Sebastian riding some amazing trails, we came over from the UK with work and managed to see some of the national parks and the views were incredible.

John is a top bloke and his 11year old Sebastian can really tear it up, leading the group on this trail for his first time was quality!!

If you want a quality guide who knows this area like the back of his hand look no further!!

The bikes are brand new every season and we’re faultless just like the service!! I would fully recommend using this company!! John knows exactly what trails you can handle and tailors this to your needs!!

Great day, amazing trails and brilliant service!!
