What can I say? My husband and I saw this hotel online and thought it would be perfect to stay here for a little romance at the end of our honeymoon. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and shown through the Tuscan style central garden, past a pond with a waterwheel, and past the lush pool area, to an upper room by the pool. There were flowers in bloom everywhere which gave off a wonderful fresh garden smell every time you walked by. Our room was more like an upper 'apartment'. We walked up some stairs and entered into heaven - there was some Miles Davis playing on the CD player, the fire was soon started and we were left alone to get ready for dinner... which was amazing. All of the ingredients were fresh, herbs like rosemary and basil picked from the property, freshly made bread, a bottle of local wine and a fireside table completed our romantic dinner. Both our waiter and our chef for the evening were wonderful, attentive and gave us some ideas of where to visit the next day. After dinner we fell asleep in a bed that was more like a cloud, in front of our gently flickering fire. Breakfasts were gourmet and absolutely delicious with eggs coming from an employee's all natural chicken farm... I have never seen such bright yellow egg yolks before in my life! It was literally 3 days of peace, quiet, luxury and relaxation and we could not have asked for a better place to end our honeymoon - we are already planning to return for our first milestone anniversary!

My wife and I just got back from a three-night stay at the Kenwood Inn & Spa and we enjoyed it immensely. The Tuscan-style accomodations and gardens (both edible and decorative) that cover the grounds are beautiful. This is not a conventional family hotel in any respect. This is a place for grownups to relax and unwind - especially after a long bike ride and/or wine tasting day. All of the staff were very friendly and personable and happy to assist with any request that we made. The food in the dining room was exceptional in all respects - variety, quality, presentation and portion size.

My one and only grumble was that we were put in a room that had windows facing out onto the main road that passed the Inn, which meant that we had a never ending background "traffic surf". At night, I used a sound app on my iPhone to cover up the traffic noise at night, but in the daytime, the rather unrelaxing nature of the traffic meant that we didn't use our outdoor patio; instead, we would sit poolside or in the interior garden. So if you book a room, I suggest that you specifically ask not to be placed in one of the rooms overlooking the main road.

Room Tip: Avoid the room(s) that face the main road going by the Inn; you will hear nonstop traffic noise.

My husband and I stopped in begging for a room after we had a TERRIBLE experience at another nearby hotel and checked out. We were thrilled that they had a room for us and were welcomed in by the friendliest staff ever. They had our room ready and our luggage carried up within 15 minutes. It was peaceful, quiet and the fireplace and beds were AMAZING! We were treated like royalty and made to feel welcome and appreciated. We were so happy that we asked to stay another night and cancelled our stay in San Francisco for our last day. You could stay at the hotel all day and just relax and this is what we did our last afternoon in Wine Country. The restaurant was also wonderful and we ate four meals there. The staff was spectactular and made our every request seem like it was no effort at all to make us happy. We especially appreciated everything Micah, Ann and the waitstaff did for us during our time there. Our stay was worth every penny and we would recommend the inn to anyone looking to travel to the area!

Room Tip: We had a room upstairs and near the kitchen (Room 23) and it was extremely quiet and private. You c...

Heaven on Earth! Had the best stay. Bed was the most comfortable on the planet, service was perfect. Our room had a fireplace and surround sound - very romantic. Loved hanging in the hot tub with wine from our day of tastings, and chocolate - met some great people there too. Loved having breakfast by the fire overlooking the fountain....I am craving the Kenwood Inn and looking forward to our return. The only drawback now, is that I hold every other hotel/Inn to the same standard and it will be hard to find anything close! Oh, Breakfast was fabulous too - the little scones were the best! Service was perfect - anytime we thought we needed anything ... there it was, water, wine, towels ..what ever..

Room Tip: Room 16 - we had a balcony overlooking the huge hot tub and had a great jacuzzi tub...Lovely spot!

WOW! Just from looking at the website my friends and I were definitely excited about our girls only weekend getaway at the Kenwood Inn but everything was just BEYOND our expectations. The whole property and building structure reminded me of being in Tuscany! The ambiance, excellent customer service from all hotel staff, relaxation and meditative feel, and the amazing dishes whipped up by the talented chefs for both dinner and breakfast. Extra points to the wait staff (especially Michael) for being attentive, courteous, and going the extra mile by providing us maps and winery suggestions. I will definitely have to come back to Kenwood but this time with my husband as it really seems like a couples retreat. The room, fireplace, and HUGE modern bathroom with built in surround sound left a really great first impression on me. Thank you!
