The price was great and the reviews were mixed but we thought we'd give it a try. We had a great stay over Easter weekend. The rooms were a bit shabby but they were clean and were within our expectations considering the price. The staff were all extremely polite and helpful and the pool area was very nice. We had 2 adults and 2 kids and would probably want a different arrangement than two doubles next time, but we knew that may be an issue going in. We were on the third floor and I'm glad as there did tend to be noise through the walls and I expect the floors as well as we found a few squeeky spots on the floor.
Value for dollar, I don't think we could have done much better and will certainly go back.

Room Tip: Ask for 3rd floor overlooking the golf course or pool.

My only hesitation in writing this review is that the secret will get out. We stayed for 2 nights and couldn't have been happier. We were looking for a nice room with a nice pool for the kids and boy did we get that! The one bedroom suite is the way to go. Plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. HUGE bathroom off the bedroom and a nice half-bath off the living area. Very clean. Great happy hour. Convenient location to several restaurants, shops, etc. Great place! We will definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: If you have kids and the pool is important, ask for a room with pool access. We didn't notice a...

My wife and I stayed here during the Indian Wells tennis tournament due to that we couldn't get a room at the Hyatt across the street - and this was surely the last time we will stay at the IW resort hotel. The lobby is quite nice and the views from the rooms are good (if you pay the extra required for a preferred view). The breakfast was also decent providing you with what you need to start the day. However, all the positives stop there. The rooms are worn out and the whole building is very poorly constructed. After checking in to our room on the 2nd floor and unpacking all our luggage, we suddenly started hearing foot steps from the room above us. Every step the person took gave off a squeaky sound. We waited a few minutes but realized it was unbearable. I called down to reception and asked for another room. The girl answered in a very rude tone that they didn't have any other rooms. I stay in hotels about 100 nights per year and obviously know that every hotel has a few spare rooms and told her that. She resisted for a while but finally gave us another room, again on the 2nd floor as she claimed there was no way we could get a room on the 3rd floor (top floor). I went downstairs to get the new keys and we moved to the new room. Believe it or not, but later that evening when the person above us came back, we heard the same squeaky sound, sounding like the floor could collapse. Out of other options for the days we were there, we had to endure the noise during our stay. Apart from the problem with the construction, the hotel also smells badly and everything in general feels very outdated. The location is very good so the best thing they could do would be to tear this hotel down and re-build it from scratch. That way this could be a hotel worth visiting again.

From reading other reviews, I understand that some people have got very good deals on this hotel and therefore rate it very kindly. Paying the kind of money they charge you during the tennis weeks, I would be surprised if anyone gave it a good rating as I heard so many other guests complaining while we were there. It's definitely worth paying the extra bucks to stay at any of the other options nearby.

We had read the reviews and were skeptical, but something drew us there and we wanted to try it. Even the not-so-friendly booking agent on the phone discouraged us. We ended booking on Expedia and got a lovely mountain view room. When you book with them, the final price includes the resort fee. The show with Frank in the evening was so good and reserving a table and taking advantage of happy hour prior to the show was a bonus. This experience was the highlight of our trip. The history behind this resort and all the pictures make this a very special place.

for the price, this place could be a Motel 6, but it was not. This was an older hotel but had alot of charm. pool was great, hot tub was even better. beautiful views of the mountains and golf course. free breakfast and wireless. Perfect location. Go ahead and pay twice as much for new furniture at the Hyatt or enjoy the extra money visiting El Passo!!!
