This is a beautiful sandy beach with a million photo ops. Nice little lagoon between beach and highway. Good family beach. Parking lot fills up on nice weekends.

Right out of a book. Classic California beach with tall cliffs and gorgeous ocean views. Makes you love the ocean. A favorite spot of mine.

There is parking and a bathroom, but you have to wade through a fairly large lagoon to get to the beach, so too hard to do with little ones and picnic stuff. We moved on to another beach. It's a small beach too.

We came with our daughter and grandsons on a recent visit to Sunnyvale. I have to say, this is one of the more beautiful beaches in the area. There is a small stream that flows into the ocean from the mountains and it seems a much better pace for little ones to play in the water. You don't have to worry about them getting knocked down. And they loved it!

There are so many breathtaking beaches between San Francisco and Santa Cruz. From my daughter's home in Palo Alto we drove to Half Moon Bay and south to Pomponio Beach. We had 3 youngsters with us ages 2, 5 and 9. Small parking lot with a stinky portapotty and a fee of $8/day. The weekday morning was overcast and winds were chilly so we were one of only a few cars. Surely it's crowded on weekends. It's a long beach with rocks to climb and an inlet for walking. Couldn't tell how far back it went before the ground became more mud than sand. Many rocks and pieces of driftwood on the beach with a few seashells. Such a pleasant day.
