“Feeling duped”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 September 2011

We decided to stay at this place after seeing the pictures of their beautiful rooms they have posted on their website. Wow, were we disappointed when we arrived. I'm not sure where they took their website photos, but they were not even close to representing the room we stayed in. Our room was 1970's old: dark, dingy carpet, dated furniture and fixtures, and a stained and damaged bathroom. We won't be back.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. This is clearly a motel that has been redecorated to be a bit nicer, but in some odd ways. Reminded me of inexpensive hotels in Asia. We were there just for one night, in the only two rooms that have a connecting door (kids in one room, us in the other). It was fine.

Every year, we choose to come to the Coast Inn & Spa. The rooms are beautiful and it has always been a nice and quiet place to get away. The beach is close by, which we love. We enjoy the campfires there as well. A lot divers stay there and almost always catch fresh fish. It's a down to earth and healing kind of a place. We have also participated in the health and wellness services there and it is one of a kind. If you choose to be a client, be prepared to work hard and you will see extraordinary results.

Our motel room was very quiet and very clean. The room was recently remodeled and not fancy but had everything we needed. The location is great and super convenient to everything. The price was great, especially for the size of our room. Lots of extra space for our family to spread out. We will stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for Room 14.

I just spent a lovely summer weekend at the Coast Inn and Spa. I had a nice corner room that had a wonderful bed. All was quiet and peaceful. This is a family owned Inn that is slowly being personalized and renovated so be sure you book a room that has been redone. If you want to take your puppies and/or pay the CHEAPEST ADVERTISED rate you will most likely get the rooms that are standard, unrenovated, motel rooms. Clean, quiet and inexpensive - all the things I like!

I made my reservation the night before online, and that meant my first night was already charged when I got there - but my room was ready.

Folks read "family owned motel"; read inexpensive in a resort area during the summer months! This is what you're going to get unless you want to pay much more! If you want Four Seasons then book Four Seasons; if you want a clean inexpensive motel with a family run atmosphere this is your place. I will stay here again and I do Four Season and Ritz many times but this fit my budget this trip!

I was traveling alone and felt very safe and at home at this Motel.....that says something. My Motorcycle was fine, and if the spa closes at 9:30 thats because quiet is the name of the game!

Room Tip: In the room descriptions the renovated rooms are listed as such!
