Wonderful experience in Del Mar Central ... Beach, Race Track, and Dining every day we were there. Service was exceptional. Rooms were very good. Restaurants offered many gluten-free options for our daughter. Great experience overall.

Property has amazing views. Do not book garden level rooms with full size beds (the cheapest room in the hotel) walls are thin and you hear guests next door! And you don't have to valet your car, there is self parking if you ask...

Hotel is one of the best we have stayed in, staff is very accommodating. Love the EZ access to the beach which is one of the main reasons we stay at L"Aubrege. Restaurants in the hotel as well as in the area are excellent.

It's nice to be steps away from the beach and have easy access to the rest of the Village. We look forward to welcoming you back very soon!

This property has it all for families. Great food, nearby beach, swimming pool overlooking the ocean, and most of all, a very friendly staff. Our only complaints about this property were: the rooms are very small, which isn't unusual when the hotels are historic; and the "garden" room we were promised on the website faced the parking lot and the very busy highway. The patios weren't very peaceful. The tables outside also looked like they were rarely, if ever cleaned. Ours was constantly sandy and had a coat of dust on it.

I went there for a romantic weekend and bought the "Foodie" package at around $800 a night... There was nothing romantic or "foodie" about the weekend... the food was mediocre at best - very generic menus - the in-room dining charges almost 40% above your check with a service charge and 20% gratuity. So, your $150 "foodie" credit is over with breakfast... The room was just ok - very small - just a shower - no bathtub - the tiles were broken in the baseboards. - The most unfortunate thing was that we were there for 3 back-to-back weddings. The weddings were loud but the worst part was the noise from the set-up and tear down of the metal trellises which started at 8AM every morning... There is a beach valet apparently but they did not have towels replenished - or the water container and when we grabbed boogie boards and asked for a ride to the beach, the valet said it was "quicker to walk"... We also played tennis two days in a row... the tennis courts are terribly maintained. They didn't clean them up both days we used them. And there were people playing besides us... there is no water - no water fountain... there's a sign saying that a water fountain was by the "lap pool" but the lap pool is empty and blocked by 2 gates... so you can't even get to the water. There were no towels - no service - the front desk gives you a shopping bag of old, dead tennis balls and children's racquets. A ball hopper is $20... come on!! So, the hotel feels very un-loved and more for weddings than anything... very disappointed...

Room tip: get a room far-far-away from the weddings...
