Easily the best breakfast/brunch spot I've been to. Now, yes, there is a decent wait before you actually sit down to eat. However it's definitely worth it. Have tried the bananas foster french toast, huevos rancheros, John Daly scramble and a few other entrees. But these three are a must-have!! Good sized portions and quality is amazing. I do have to say service and staff friendliness is lacking, but nothing terrible. The food is too good to miss. Would certainly recommend for any weekend family or friend brunch spot!

I don't visit Boulevard Café often, but when I do, it's usually with friends or family visiting from out of town. First of all, it's easy to find since it's literally off Hwy 280 on John Daly Blvd. Second, parking is definitely a challenge. People actually get defensive in the parking lot, but what can you do if parking is limited? Third, if you come here on the weekends, prepare to wait 30-45 minutes for a table. Fourth, the speed and accuracy of the service varies with each visit. Sometimes they're quick and give the right orders. And other times, they're really slow (because the kitchen is slow) and they accidentally mess up the orders. Lastly, the food still tastes great just like when they first opened their doors years ago. Breakfast and lunch options are phenomenal. If you like to drink mimosas, taste the one at Boulevard Café because it's the bomb.com.

Greek brothers leaving culinary school were smart enough to obtain a former "Jetson's"-style, mid-century building (a former Lyon's -kinda of a" Denny's" chain). Just into Daly City; similar menu items would be double in price in midtown San Francisco. Excellent breakfast plates until 2 Pm. good specials, salads, entrees, sandwiches. Well-trained, friendly, polite staff. About 3 blocks away is the revamped ,old-style Westlake Joe's, where some items might be better, BUT might be double in price. Boulevard has a younger, fresher feel, and they keep upgrading the space. Friends are usually pleasantly surprised at first visit. Easy freeway exit off 280 and a block from Bart.

The hamburgers and fries are very good. Tuna salad sandwiches are excellent. The service is a bit slow.

Can’t remember the last time we ventured into Boulevard Café much less its lounge after the disappointing experience we had a couple a years ago. But things change, we thought, hopefully for the better. With this spot a quick turn off from I-280 to escape rush hour traffic, we decided to give it another swing. And wow, we’re so glad we did.

It was only Wednesday but it felt like Friday in that hopping lounge, where diverse patrons were laughing, munching, knocking back $6 cocktails and well drinks and $6 favorites like the ubiquitous fried calamari, coconut shrimp (4 pieces), garlic fries and chicken wings. They had Reuben Bites, also $6, which look like arancini (Italian rice balls stuffed with beef and cheese in marinara sauce) but are actually three globes of beef and cheese.

Hunger is the best sauce, my mom liked to say, but even if we were not famished, we would have cleaned our plates just the same. Everything was hot and crisp outside and juicy inside, as should be, seasoned just right.

My cosmo could have had more oomph and chill, but for the price, it got a pass, stirring me to the wine, which was a nice big pour.

The Caesar Salad had whole white anchovies -surprise luxury!

Best news for me was our server, who got us from “I’ll be right with you” soon as she spotted us scanning the space for a bigger table to match our hunger, to her “ya got it” after every ask: Extra Caesar dressing? Bread? Tabasco? Her name slips me at the moment, but she’s not hard to find – look for the charmer with the big smile and a ton of ink on her arms.
