Went for lunch today for my 4th visit as guests of friends who have been eating here very regularly for years.
I love this place.
Strangely the sign over the door says Tai Yuan .....? But the address is correct.
I think the comments of other reviewers are probably fair but have personally never tried the restrooms.
Some of the dishes are really excellent .. Try the Crab balls with a whole shell-on crab claw inside. The most delicious but simple honeycomb taro dumplings, deep fried.
I would also highly recommend the chicken feet as well as the most wonderful tripe dish. The tripe cut so finely it was like a strange flower or something from the ocean . Delicate and delicious.
A plate of simple chow mien was clean and perfectly cooked , the noodles very fine and Al dente.... Just a few green parts of scallions and a very few bean sprouts. Delicious.
We also had a deep fried Chinese doughnut mixture wrapped in a type of wonton wrapper... Rice flour and water ? Texturally exciting.
At the next table a couple were eating lobster with noodles thalooked wonderful.
We drank a delicious black tea flavoured with Chrysanthemum flowers. Strangely delightful.
Can't wait for my next visit.
