Should not had made reservations in the first place. On their hotel write-up, there would be no fee if cancellation was made 48 hours in advance. I had to cancel my trip to SF due to a family emergency. I finally got in touch with someone over the phone 2 & 1/2 days before my trip. The lady on the phone was very rude, she did not allow me to speak. She was so manic on the telephone, she did not realizes that my cancellation was 60 hours in advance. Made well in advance from check in time which was 11 or 12 noon.. As it is, she charged me for the first night. She definitely should not be working the front desk/ answering the phones. It seem like she changes the rules whenever she wants to. And if she is the owner...Beware!

This wasn't going to be a negative report but the attitude of the owner prompts these comments. Our stay was for 4 nights. We tried to check in mid evening but reception was locked. It was at least 10 minutes of ringing the bell tbefore someone arrived. After booking in, we asked if, on our day of departure, that we could leave baggage at the hotel until our flight late evening. We were told reluctantly that that would be possible. On our checkout, we asked to leave our luggage, and were told by the owner that it was not possible. She was positively rude and unconcerned that they went back on their word. She was not concerned about the fact that as guests we were about to leave America that day and eventually had to sit at the airport for 12 hours. Although the rooms were made up each day, no coffee or cups were left, resulting in us having to ask, only to hear more tales of woe from the reception. The breakfast was non existant. Warm coffee and a pre wrapped pastry was the only thing in sight. The same slice of stale bread was there for 4 days. The room was small, and although clean, the sheets were marked Don't be prepared for pleasantries or help from reception at any time during your stay.

Room Tip: Try another hotel.

I was working in San Francisco and I stayed here 4 nights. The room was really small and included a small round table with two chairs, double bed, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hanging clothes area, and TV and drawer space. Just enough room to walk around the bed. The place was clean.

It is pretty noisy here though. It is on a main throughway. However, ear plugs did the trick. There is a drug store down the street, about a 10 minute walk to Bart, and about 15 minutes to a grocery store or restaurant.

If you stay here, ask for a room in the very back, away from the stairs, on the 2nd floor so you don't have to hear people above you, and sheltered by the office building (blocking the road noise).

We stayed there to be close to Daly City and not pay the high prices of the area. It is an old building, just functional. It's dry and has heat...even in the summer: the gas heater's pilot was lit and made a flickering, popping noise all night, and it actually seemed to make the room hot. Keeping a window open solved that, although sleeping in a motel with the window open on the ground floor is not a great idea. It was kind of noisy, too, the least of which was the shower which dripped continuously, in spite of the drought. Not a great bed either: just a functional double.

Overall, not friendly to the environment, or quiet or sumptuous, but keeps you dry if it ever rains.

This motel has a very low customer service and not meeting quality standards as well misleading their product offer. This motel DOES NOT have AIR CONDITIONING resulting in sticky warm rooms. People left their door open to cool down and refresh their room. What was really a shame was that the bed sheets were old showing dirty sports and they keep using them. The Motel suggests that they offer breakfast but almost everything including basic items were “sold out”. When asking the reception the manager, who was more interested in her dog, gave the excuse that the truck did not arrive and got stuck in traffic. This she most likely is using daily as even basic things like a plate or jam..... were not present. Only coffee was available and there was no sign that anyone of the staff was interested in serving customers. The hotel is still quite a distance from San Francisco. The rooms are very noisy and hearing everything which happens upstairs. The overall impression is that the management of the hotel does not care about their guests and are only interested in saving cost by compromising on quality offered. I would NOT recommend this to anyone and would try to find an alternative.
