These folks have taken japanese food to a different level, and it is wonderful. But straight off, know that there is no Sushi here. There is delicious sashimi, and there is what they call carpaccio - really sashimi sliced THINner (not supper thin) with sauces drizzled on it or on the side. We had the hamachi carpaccio with garlic-ginger-ponzu, chopped jalapeño, and garlic oil. The vegetable tempura was delicious. The pan sautéed black cod fillet with plum soy sauce was very flavorful. We also had the BBQ port clay pot rice dish - cooked rice with mixed up crispy rice and a rice flavorful pork dish mixed in.
The real surprise were the "fusion" cheese pizzas" We had the pork with miso and mushrooms and liked it so much the 6 of us shared the BBQ beef and kimchee pizza with Korean miso after the rest of our food.
they have one beer available (Sapporo?) and a VERY limited wine list. I think there was some sake also. the six of us were filled for about $30 per person, with most of us getting beer - no wine or sake.
There are plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options.
We will definitely go back.
