The Wednesday before thanksgiving was a busy night. We had booked but there was difficulty seating us. The staff were excellent, the food was fine and plenty of it. Altogether a good experience.
The stand-out experience of the evening, though, was the Jazz quartet that played from 7-30. They were wonderful. Sax, Double bass, drums and guitar. We could have stayed all night.
The restaurant was as near to an Edwardian English club, frequented by high society, as you can get. The vibes were good.
Thoroughly recommended but choose a night when the Jazz Quartet is playing to make it perfect.

Very pleased that you enjoyed the evening. We have jazz type music 7 days a week from 7:30pm onwards.

Looking forward to seeing you back again.

This boutique hotel is undeniably beautiful, with a charming lobby/lounge area and delightful decorative touches throughout. The outdoor restaurant area is adjacent to a charming courtyard area, and the food (lunch) was quite good. The guest room was surprisingly spacious for a major city hotel, and very nicely appointed. However, many of the guest rooms (including mine and those of the 6 colleagues with whom I traveled) had two FULL sized beds, as opposed to the more common queen or king sized options. The room was certainly large enough to accommodate a larger bed, so this seemed odd. In addition, the plumbing (shower and toilet) left a lot to be desired, despite the fact that the bathroom had clearly been renovated and included high-end features (nice towels, robe, and bath soaps). Overall, I'd be happy to meet here for a drink or a meal, but I wouldn't rush to stay here again.

It was our pleasure having you stay with us. The Hotel was opened for business in 1924 and we did do a significant renovation almost 8 years ago.
We do have a majority of our rooms with King size beds and a smattering of Double/Doubles, which are meant for 2 people per room. 2 of our Junior Suites have 2 x Queen beds.

We do appreciate the feedback.

The historical hotel is very charming with "antiques" furniture. The people serving are polite and good but lacks of TWO impostant things: good internet (It is not acceptable to have to enter 4/5 times in the same morning at it) and there is a lack of management/ supervision at the breakfast (it is not possible that one has to ask to clean the table to be sitted, to ask for for more hot water for tea, to have a good but cold quiche, to ask for more fruits, to ask for more orange juice) - the people serving or in chatge just disappeared !!!!

Sorry about the breakfast supervision and the internet. One is a training issue that we will address and the other is a concern. The internet must be excellent and we will fix it.

The Culver Hotel was a quick 24 hour stopover for me on my way to London. The staff were friendly and helpful and my room was pretty cool. I had John Wayne’s room apparently. The hotel has a lot of history which makes it fun to hear about the famous guests of the past.

My room was big and had a great bath. It has two bathrooms one with a shower and one with a bath. The decor was fun and the bed was comfortable.

The only downside to my stay was the breakfast food- it wasn’t good so I would go out for breakfast. Otherwise I think it’s a great hotel for a stopover so you don’t have to stay in one of the airport hotels.

Thanks. Downtown Culver City is just 12 minutes away from LAX and a great central location for the Westside of Los Angeles.
We do provide a complimentary continental breakfast and are constantly making changes. Sorry your experience was not a positive one. Our Executive Chef, Alejandro Arrieta has made a statement with his new Lunch and Dinner menu's and it is time for us to concentrate on the breakfast.
See you soon.

My friend wanted to celebrate her birthday at the Culver Hotel by dining at the Afternoon Tea service. So the ambiance of the hotel was somewhat nice. The furnishings were antique I guess. There was a huge custom bookcase with a ladder to climb up it and older tables to dine on and coffee tables oddly which we were first seated at. The sofa was too low to sit at and my legs were hitting the bottom part of the coffee table bars. So I asked that we be moved to a regular table which was so much more comfortable. We ordered the Full Tea for $28. They had a nice selection of teas. However, their 4 puny sandwiches were basically hor’duerve size and were only very small open faced sandwiches except for the chicken salad which was about 1 inch cut out on some sort of puff pastry. The accompanying pastries were a small strawberry scone with lemon curd and Devonshire cream, a very small chocolate mousse pastry, and a small strawberry tart. Not worth the $28. You’re paying for the ambiance and the furnishings need updating. Skip this place and go to an actual tea place if you’re looking for a good tea.

So sorry that we did not live up to your expectations.
Almost every day we have a bunch of people who are enjoying the offering and we need to contemplate your concerns.
I will try and reach out to you to make amends.
