I went for lunch with my family. The menu was a bit limited. Not to many appetizers and mostly red sauce dishes. The food was excellent though. The pasta was cooked just right. Food was served hot. Service was excellent. Pricing was fair and reasonable Would definitely recommend going

Finding Novecento was a happy accident. The four of us looked at another restaurant in downtown Culver City and were not excited by the menu. We went around the corner and there was Novecento. Great Italian food in a small setting, with a nice italian restaurant vibe. Pasta was very good and tasted freshly made. The menu is not large, but all should find something that they like. Our party has diverse tastes and we all left very pleased with the meal The prices were reasonable.

A great find in the downtown Culver City area. The restaurant is small and I am not sure if they take reservations. We are definetly coming back.

I've been here for both lunch and dinner. It's got a bit of an NYC Italian vibe but with more elbow room. The food is solid, and feels like a good value for what you get. It's not my first pick in the neighborhood, but it's probably my second.

The homemade spinach ravioli is one of the best I've ever eaten. Prices very reasonable. Wine was great too and many offered by the glass as well as by the bottle--glass was a generous measure. Salads are a la carte but also very good. There are a couple of shellfish dishes but no entries that are just fish. Only a few chicken entries also. This is a fine place if you are especially craving pasta. The restaurant is small but charmingly decorated with bits of sculpture and artifacts set into the plaster and brick--very nicely done.

I opted for a lighter dish, the Pollo Arrabbiata, chicken breasts with a spicy tomato sauce and a side of vegetables. The chicken breasts were cooked properly, and the vegetables were decent, but the arrabiata (literally "angry sauce") was completely bland and the tomatoes tasted canned. It was a disappointing plate when so many places do excellent renditions of this kind of food.

My friend ordered her favorite dish here, the gnocchi with a creamy Gorgonzola sauce. I had a taste, and it was indeed wonderfully made, with rich blue cheese and light gnocchi. This is definitely a dish that will stick to your ribs and throw you off your diet, especially if you add grated Parmesan to it (which my friend did)!

It is sad when an experience does not live up to your expectations, but thankfully it was a pleasant experience overall.
