The lake itself was beautiful! Our double lakeside camp site was not so great. Entire site was on a slope which made it scary with the kids. Had to hike down the hill to get to the water which is understandable with the lake level but still very unsafe. Water was a dirty brown several feet before it was blue. Nice fire pit & decent restrooms. Did not visit the showers. Campground supplied large trash bags & came by to collect garbage each day which was very nice. Water tap near our site was great. Went to the day use area and stayed about 5 minutes! Very dry, deserted, and not swimmer friendly. Store was very small & we had to leave & drive several miles to purchase our needs. Price was ok & employees were nice. Would definitely return to the lake but most likely not Peninsula Campground.
