Great local park. The park does charge admission to park in the lot or you can park outside and walk in.
Nice place for a picnic or group gathering. Just remember the weekends and holidays the place gets packed.
This is a great place for fishing from the shore or you can rent a boat. Paddle or canoe. The lake is mainly planted with trout but there are catfish, bluegills, and bass in the lake. The park does charge a small fee for fishing.
It also a great place to go for a walk. There is a trail, about half of it paved, that goes around the lake.

A lot of work has been done to upgrade the paved paths. The lake is beautiful. Has boat rentals (paddle, row, electric). Great for picnicing/fishing

This is the best park to go to on the weekend. I walk this lake 3 to 4 times a week and never get enough if the peace and tranquility you get while you are there. The people are friendly and the nature is amazing.

A fantastic park with all good amenities in an excellent location. Very peaceful and plenty of greenery. A nice place to spend time when you want to be away from the city.

parking is limited there is a parking lot and many people park on the street it has been in the area as long as I know . Was born in this area 82 years ago. It was considered a ride in the country when we would drive thru when I was a child. There is a lake in the area and the holding area had some repair last year. A fun place to visit.
My Grandchildren go hiking in the area.

If you want to hear birds, walk by or boat in the water, smell fresh air, and enjoy your surroundings, this is where you want to head. Lake Chabot brings you peace.

You cannot swim in the lake but it is a beautiful view as you walk/jog/bike around it. To go around the entire like takes hours. If you enter on the Marina side there are boats you can rent, snack bars and bathrooms. There are picnic areas which you can reserve. There is a parcourse. Parking is $5 or you can park out on the street. This side of the lake is paved. The other side of the lake has only dirt trails and there are overnight camping facilities for families or groups.

My wife and I ran on a new years day 5k at lake Chabot park and we ran a course that was full of gorgeous views of the lake throughout the route.. Paved running trails with mild gradient. Great for running, and training. There is a small cafe, restrooms, pier, and beautiful vistas. Parking is also available on the grounds. Dog friendly.

Enjoy a gorgeous reservoir lake while hiking or mountain biking the many beautiful trails or reserve a place in the park for a party near a volleyball area with a BBQ available for cooking. You can also rent a boat, paddel boat or patio boat. Lots of fun for the whole family
