Stayed here with my family, 3 teenagers and a married daughter and son in law. We enjoyed our stay. The location is far enough from San Diego to be away from the bustle of the city, but close enough to go see the sights there as well. The beaches in the area were way less crowded than in the city.
Pros: we had 3 separate bedrooms, nice to have privacy for all. There are 2 1/2 baths, which we needed with a group our size. Beach towels, 2 boogie boards, and chairs were available to use for the beach. The nearby Carlsbad beach had decent waves. Laundry in the condo was so nice, perfect to refresh the towels for the next beach trip. We loved the little shopping center across the street, the market's strawberry gelato was amazing! The rooftop deck was so nice, the sunsets and view were beautiful. There's ample towels, blankets, linens, even games and cards to play at night. Wifi was convenient as well.
Cons: the sea air is eating the finishes off faucets, and the door lock was sticky. This doesn't bother me, since I know salt air does that, but some may be surprised. The kitchen was pretty well stocked, but could use a little better cleaning. The sofa cushions were stained, we covered them with blankets. There is no ac, but this didn't bother us at all. The breeze coming off the ocean kept us cool at night.
