Room is ok. Not much more. Manager is upfront on the coronavirus as a guest as we checked in had but had left. The massage was good but had better. The food looked like wide but was only Indian curry. The service as so so. The grounds were good and the views were good. Only good for 1 night. Many if they can visit Tigers Nest

We have just came back from a few nights at Le Meridien Thimphu, so of course we had to compare. First of all. The hotel setting is perfect. That is what you want, so you can really take in the beautiful unspoiled nature of the country of Bhutan. The hotel is modern and clean and has definitely a sense of tranquility to it. The design really compliment the view of the river. The only downside was the service. Maybe it was because we were treated so well as Lifetime Titanium Elite at the Thimphu location that it was maybe a let down. Both hotel are very nice. One is a city hotel the other one way on the outskirt. Great location to visit the Tiger's Nest.

My husband and I chose this hotel as part of our honeymoon itinerary in Bhutan. We were greeted by the front desk staff, Deki, who took the initiative to introduce the hotel amenities and services to us.

We were most impressed with the Executive Chef, Tanuj. When we arrived for our breakfast buffet, he approached us and offer us chicken broth and congee. This is very well appreciated as both the chicken soup and congee was super tasty and kept us warm during the cold season in Bhutan. He is also very attentive to our requests and was initiative to suggest a menu for our dinner. On top of which, he fulfilled the requests of dumplings perfectly to which both my husband and I appreciate it very much. As we have to catch a very early flight in the morning, the hotel was kind enough to arrange for a packed breakfast for us to takeaway with. The whole F&B experience made the stay very memorable.

There were some minor hiccups in the rooms as we experienced sudden electrical faults during our first night. We highlighted to the front desk and they took actions immediately. Thankfully, it did not reoccur on the second night.

A pleasant stay at the end of our hectic trip. This gave us opportunity to relax and gear up for the hectic schedule that awaited us. The overall experience was good and the property lived up to all expectations from a 5-star property. There was nothing much to do at the property apart from usual spa, gym etc. This appeared more as a business hotel rather than a resort that we had assumed. Perhaps a cultural evening or help in planning few off-beat activities in a tourist destination like Paro would have been wonderful.
